Westlake City Schools and Red Ribbon Week 2008

  • We have enough ribbons on hand for every student and staff member to wear and show their support for a drug-free life style. 
  • Students “caught” wearing their ribbons throughout the week will be awarded with a red Twizzler or a red lei, inscribed with “Lei off drugs.”

  • 1000 flyers will be delivered to homes during the week of Oct. 23rd – 31st with pizzas ordered from Dominos or Papa John’s
    Flyers read:  SADD Promoting Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 27-31, WHS Drug Free

  • All SADD members will be wearing red wrist bands

  • The school and grounds will be decorated with the Red Ribbon Week Message and daily announcements will be read encouraging students to show their support.

  • All SADD members will be wearing red wrist bands

  • Every student that picks up a red ribbon during their lunch period will be able to put their name on a link to a paper chain that will be displayed in the cafeteria.  Kids who do this will be making a commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.
