The Parent to Parent Network understands when it comes to the risky behavior choices facing our kids the best tool parents can arm themselves with is KNOWLEDGE. We engage respected speakers who are in-the-know about the tough issues involving our youth and together with the other affiliates of the Parent to Parent Network we coordinate educational activities to benefit all of us.

All events are FREE and open to adults unless otherwise noted.

Event: 8th annual Suicide Prevention Education Alliance Into the Light Walk through Cleveland Metroparks Zoo to help raise awarenes of depression and suicide prevention

Use the tools under "My HQ" to email friends, family and associates. Ask for their support of your Walk Team.The Walk is a RAIN or SHINE EVENT. The Walk distance is 1.5 miles.  The event is more of an evening stroll.  It is not an athletic event.
$20 Walker registration includes light snack of Dave's Cosmic Sub, fruit, beverage, speakers, program, Walk itself.  Personally raise $100 or more to receive a Lifesaver T-shirt at the Walk on October 2nd!

Speakers: Panelists include David Frattare, Lead Investigator, Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Paulie Velotta, Nationally Certified Trainer for Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and Dr. David Hussey, Associate Professor in the College of Public Health, Kent State University.

Event:?In this brief, dynamic workshop we will: ? Learn about the importance, developmentally, for adolescents to form healthy relationships. ? Explore the strong influence peers and peer pressure have on adolescents. ? Examine and discuss the positives and negatives our kids are exposed to in our culture. ? Examine a brief overview of the most commonly seen risk behaviors and the role parents can play in keeping kids safe.

Event:?Join us for a special two-part series on Understanding Attention Deficit Disorders ? What We Know, and What We Can Do. In this two-part series, Dr. Ethan Schafer, Lawrence School psychologist and Director of the Lawrence Assessment Center, will be presenting the work and research of internationally-recognized ADHD authority, Russell Barkley, PhD. Dr. Schafer will be using the actual PowerPoint slides and data that Dr. Barkley uses to present his professional workshops. Topics covered will include an overview of ADHD, the state of the newest science and research on ADHD, what we know about the life-course of ADHD as children transition to adulthood, and what we can do to help manage ADHD.
