Dani Altieri Marinucci is the Parent to Parent Network president and one of the organization’s founding members. As president she leverages the maximum collaborative efforts between communities as they educate parents on risky youth behavior.
Dani has 26 years of professional writing and management consulting experience that spans public, private and nonprofit organizations. Her bachelors of science in education from Cleveland State University prepared her for a career that includes program development and execution; public relations and marketing; and project development, management and evaluation.
Dani started her career as a management consultant working for twelve years on a variety of projects in state and local government, where she interacted with multiple agencies on an assortment of assignments requiring written and oral presentation skills; budget and special projects management; and hiring and supervising professional personnel.
Over the last fourteen years she’s provided professional writing services to a plethora of clients that include small businesses, nonprofits, schools and electronic and print media.
In addition, for the last six years she was part of a team who launched two non-profit organizations, the Westlake Parent Connection and the Parent to Parent Network. Both organizations are committed to enhancing parent education around risky youth behaviors. As president of the Parent to Parent Network, Dani heads the fund raising, grant writing, fiscal development and management efforts. Dani has four children: two in college and two in high school.
Lynda Appel graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Communications. Retired from PPG Industries is 1999 after 15 years in the Marketing and Operations Departments when her family relocated to Wisconsin. While there, she started a local non-profit to address the underage drinking problem in her community. After 4 years, her family moved back to the Cleveland area, where she co-founded the Westlake Parent Connection in 2002 and the Parent to Parent Network in 2005.
In addition to being the Parent to Parent vice president, Lynda manages the website and communication functions of the Network, which includes maintaining an email membership of over 2,100 households. With today’s parents being so overcommitted, they rely heavily on the P2PN website for up-to-date information on their kid’s health, safety and well-being. Lynda works closely with P2PN affiliates to help them get their web presence up and running.
Johanne Belzile - Vice President, Disbursements
Johanne Belzile is a retired French Canadian Chemical Engineer whose specialties were Emergency Response Plan & Environmental Issues. Johanne worked for international corporations such as Shell, ICI & Elf Atochem before moving to Westlake in 1992.
Civically and socially minded, Johanne embraced her adoptive community holding multiple positions within the Westlake City Schools PTA units, taught religion at St. Ladislas, and worked on two school levy campaigns. Johanne has always had a special gift for working with the Mental Health community, she works continuously to break down the walls isolating mental health patients and their families.
The mother of 3 (a recent John Carroll University graduate, a Pittsburgh Culinary Art Institute student and a Westlake High School student) Johanne applied her analytical and strategic planning skills to help found two non-profit organizations: the Westlake Parent Connection in 2002 and the Parent to Parent Network in 2005. Johanne is instrumental in the growth of the Network, with her sharp mind and keen analytical skills she helps drive the Network on a focused course and ensures all efforts are efficient. In addition, Johanne manages the disbursement of funds to affiliates.
Jane Kelly - Treasurer
Jane Kelley brings extensive fiscal knowledge and management experience to the P2PN. A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BS in Business Administration with an accounting major, Jane currently is the President and Chief Financial Officer of Kelley Industrial Sales, Inc. During the 1980s Jane was a financial analyst for Ferro Corporation. Jane is the mother of three, Daniel, currently attending Clemson University, and high schoolers Matthew and Margot.
Julie M. Johnson, OCPS ll - Affiliate Liaison
Executive Director Community Challenge, a division of Recovery Resources
Julie Johnson, a 2002 alumnae of Cleveland Bridge Builders, has served as the Executive Director of Community Challenge since 2005 and is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist II. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a minor in Classics from Allegheny College in 1990. Julie began her career as a police officer for the City of Streetsboro in 1991 and her interest in the substance abuse prevention field piqued when in addition to her patrol duties she began serving as a DARE Officer in1995.
Julie has over 13 years of experience and is active in the substance abuse prevention field in both her personal and professional life. She is involved with ADAPAO (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Association of Ohio), serves as the substance abuse professional for a local F.A.S.T. (Family and Schools Together) team, and as the Affiliate Liaison for the Parent to Parent Network. She is also a member of the Fairview and Lakewood Hospital Advisory Boards and the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce.
